1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing, accessing, or using the AI Host Assistant for Airbnb browser extension ("the Extension"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the Extension.

2. Description of Service

AI Host Assistant for Airbnb is a browser extension that helps short-term rental hosts manage guest communications on Airbnb. The Extension provides:

Calendar month panels with occupancy, revenue, and what you keep after Airbnb's host fee
A reply drafter, guest screening, listing signals, hospitality audit, and market filter-gap research

AI Host Assistant for Airbnb is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Airbnb, Inc. or OpenAI.

3. Account Registration

To use the Extension, you must sign in with a Google account, in the Extension or on our website, str-host-assistant.web.app: it is the same account in both, and the two share that sign-in as described in our Privacy Policy. By signing in, you confirm that:

You are at least 18 years old
The information you provide is accurate
You are authorized to use the Google account for this purpose
You are the authorized host or property manager for the Airbnb listings you access through the Extension

4. Free and Premium Plans

Free Plan

Provides unlimited AI interactions in the current release; we may introduce usage limits in a future version
Requires your own OpenAI API key (you are responsible for OpenAI charges incurred through your key)
May become subject to per-device usage limits to prevent abuse

Premium Plan (not currently offered to new subscribers)

Provides up to 1,000 AI interactions per calendar month
No OpenAI API key required — AI calls are routed through our servers
Billed as a recurring monthly subscription through Stripe
Monthly interaction counts reset on the 1st of each calendar month

5. Payment and Billing

Premium subscriptions are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to:

Pay the subscription fee at the rate displayed at the time of purchase
Authorize recurring monthly charges until you cancel
Stripe's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy

We (Jose Mendez) are the seller of the Premium subscription, not Google or Airbnb.

6. Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your Premium subscription at any time through the Stripe billing portal, opened from the Extension options
Upon cancellation, your Premium access continues until the end of the current billing period
After the billing period ends, your account reverts to the Free plan
Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods
If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at strcopilot@gmail.com within 14 days of the charge

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Extension to send spam, deceptive, or fraudulent messages to guests
Attempt to circumvent usage limits, device restrictions, or authentication mechanisms
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the Extension's code for the purpose of bypassing security measures
Use the Extension in violation of Airbnb's Terms of Service
Share your account credentials or allow others to use your account
Use the Extension for any unlawful purpose

8. AI-Generated Content

The Extension uses artificial intelligence (OpenAI) to analyze conversations and generate suggested responses. You acknowledge that:

AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or inappropriate suggestions
You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving all AI-generated messages before sending them to guests
The Extension does not send messages on your behalf — you must manually send any response
We do not guarantee the accuracy, quality, or suitability of AI-generated content
You should not rely on AI suggestions for legal, medical, safety, or emergency matters

9. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Extension is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data. By using the Extension, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Intellectual Property

The Extension, including its code, design, and documentation, is the intellectual property of Jose Mendez. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Extension for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Extension.

11. Third-Party Services

The Extension integrates with third-party services (OpenAI, Google Firebase, and Stripe), and its video guides show YouTube videos, which load from YouTube only when you press play; our website also uses Google Fonts, lets you sign in with Google through Google Firebase, embeds the same YouTube videos in its guide pages, and uses Google Analytics only if you accept its cookies; its "Equip your rental" and stayKit pages show Amazon's product photos and link to products on amazon.com with affiliate links (as an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms:

We are not responsible for the availability, performance, or policies of these third-party services.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Extension is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

The Extension will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with all systems
AI-generated content will be accurate, appropriate, or effective
The Extension will continue to function if Airbnb changes their website interface
Any particular results will be achieved from using the Extension

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jose Mendez and AI Host Assistant for Airbnb shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Extension, including but not limited to:

Loss of revenue, bookings, or business opportunities
Guest complaints or disputes resulting from AI-generated messages
Service interruptions or data loss
Charges incurred through your OpenAI API key (free plan)

Our total liability for any claim related to the Extension shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Premium subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.

14. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Extension if you violate these Terms or engage in abusive behavior. You may stop using the Extension at any time by uninstalling it.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the Extension's functionality or legal requirements. Updates will be posted with a new "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Extension after changes indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Extension shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation or, if necessary, in the courts of the applicable jurisdiction.
